Worth noting but easily lost in the larger story is that the video was created as part of an organizational exercise to identify patterns and behaviors supporting and blocking innovation---in other words, NASA management was proactively looking for ways to improve and facilitating organizational self-reflection. That&#039;s a pretty good start. But I found it more remarkable that, when the exercise resulted in an illuminating (read critical) video vignette, NASA, in a blast of transparency, didn&#039;t try to keep the critique in-house---they supported broadcasting it to the world.</description>
