TIES time again

It’s that time of year again. The TIES Conference starts this Saturday and runs through Tuesday. I’m doing a day-long workshop called Podcasting A–Z that should be a blast. We’re going to cover the full range of podcast production techniques including recording, editing, and publishing. I’m also doing an updated version of the Web 2.0 talk I did at NECC and a new one called “Open Source Tools You Can Use.”

For the record, I encourage all conference-goers to use the “ties2006″ Technorati tag.

    Tim,

    I have never produced a podcast and I am looking forward to Saturday. Will we be doing anything with video podcasts? I am hoping to be able to produce video podcasts that I will be able to use for an online course.

    Tim,
    I work for an organization called EduTech in North Dakota and we provide technology services to the K-12 teachers of the state. One of the services we provide is professional development and one of the workshops we are creating right now is on podcasting. I’m looking forward to participating in your Saturday session so I can go through the process of putting together a podcast. I think it will not only give me some good ideas for the creation of our workshop but it will more than likely give me some good ideas on how to make the workshop flow. I’m hoping to get a look at both GarageBand and Audacity because both of those tools will be a part of what we present. I’ve seen you present before and enjoyed it very much. I’ll see you on Saturday.

    Hi, Tim,
    It was great to receive your email in preparation for Saturday. I have never been on an iMac and probably will not be on one after Saturday. Will that be a problem?

    Lynn, I don’t think you’ll have any trouble. I’m going to focus as much as possible on cross-platform solution. That said, I’ll demonstrate GarageBand a bit so everyone will get to see how it works.
