I’m taking my “tech moment” in the curriculum coordinator meeting today to discuss weblogs and how they might be used by our teachers with their students. I think I’ll point them to Will Richardson’s blog and his long list of Weblog resources. I wonder how fast I can explain RSS and make it understandable?

I did the *exact* presentation this week with the administrators here in Superior, Wisconsin. There was interesting reaction. A few are leary about people posting “something stupid” out there. “You mean *anybody* can see this stuff?” Yeah. Time to get with the times. I’m using http://www.typepad.com and was able to calm people down a little with some security features (password protected forums, etc). I’m continuing to push the issue around here. The possibilities are sooo great for education. Good luck…let us know how it goes.
The “anybody can post” thing has come up in my situation too. Lots more thinking and discussing to do on this topic for sure.
